The Monongalia County Commission is requesting proposals from financial institutions, firms and agencies to assist with the financing of approximately $17 Million to renovate the former federal building in Morgantown/Monongalia County. A more detailed RFP is avaiable in the County Commissioner's Office, 2nd Floor, Courthouse, Morgantown, WV, Monday through Friday. AS OF MARCH 13, 2013, THE REGULAR MEETINGS OF THE MONONGALIA COUNTY COMMISSION WILL BEGIN EVERY WEDNESDAY AT 1:00 P.M. (unless otherwise announced) WITH A WORK SESSION TO FOLLOW IMMEDIATELY. ALL MEETINGS OF THE COMMISSION ARE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

AUTHORITY, BOARD AND COMMISSION APPOINTMENTS - UPDATED 4/5/2013
The Monongalia County Commission would like to thank all citizens who have come forward to be considered for appointment to various authorities, boards or commissions. We are always accepting applications for any board positions. The following positions are currently available:
Chestnut Ridge Park Board: One vacant position. (Three year term)
Monongalia County Abandoned and Dilapidated Property Enforcement Agency: Two year term. Member at Large. One current term expired. New term to expire August 11, 2014.
Monongalia County Board of Health: One term will expire on June 30, 2013. Candidate must be a Democrat, Republican or Independent from the Eastern or Western District. (five year term) IMMEDIATE opening for one unexpired term. Candidate must be from the Western District and may be from any political party.
Monongalia County Building Commission: One term will expire on June 30, 2013. (Five year term)
Monongalia County Development Authority: Three year terms. Five public sector terms to end May 5, 2013 and (2) vacant positions to end May 5, 2014 and May 5, 2015. No party or district restrictions apply.
Monongalia County Planning Commission: Two positions are vacant: one to expire 3/31/2013 and one term to expire 3/31/2015.
Board of Zoning Appeals: Two terms expired on 1/1/2013. (current members serving)
Public Service Districts: Six year terms. Must live in the service area.
Cheat View PSD – Terms to expire 3/31/2016 and 3/31/2018. (current members serving)
Pleasant Valley PSD – One term to expire 6/30/2016.
West Run PSD – Two vacancies 5/31/2016 and 5/31/20014. Current term expired 5/31/2012.}
