On Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. the Monongalia County Commission will hold a public hearing in their meeting room (2nd Floor of the Courthouse) to receive comments regarding a proposed increase in the Landline 9-1-1 fee.  This increase will be used to upgrade equipment at our 9-1-1 center.  All funds will remain in Monongalia County.  The proposed fee will be $3.00 and will equalize that being paid for cellphones.  The current rate of $1.31 has not been increased since the Office of Emergency Services, MECCA 9-1-1 was first created.

Allied Waste Services of North America has published proposed rate increases.  All protests or requests to intervene should briefly state the reason and must comply with the Public Service Commission's Rules of Practice and Procedure.  Address comments to Executive Secretary, Public Service Commission of WV, P. O. Box 812, Charleston, WV, 25323.
